ondrejOndřej Filipec

Project Coordinator

Ondřej Filipec studied at the Haagse Hogeschool – Hogere Europese Beroepen Opleiding (HEBO) in Den Haag and Palacky University in Olomouc where he received Ph.D.  in Political Science. In the past he gained experience in various international organizations including International Cooperation Branch of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons or the Directorate-General of the European Commission. He also participated on the Capacity Development Initiative of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban-Treaty Organization. He is experienced in organization of international events worldwide including seminars, training courses and conferences. He works as editor of Slovak Journal of Political Science and is author of 3 monographs and dozens of scientific articles on European Integration and International Security issues with special focus on relationship of Migration and Terrorism.  His research background and skills will help the team to implement various project activities.

Aaron T. Walter

Project Coordinator

Aaron T. Walter studied at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic where he received a PhD in International Relations. He is assistant professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Trnava and at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University in Brno. His research interests are International Relations, specifically security studies; Comparative European Politics and European Studies. He regularly speaks at various international seminars, workshops and conferences on these topics throughout Europe. Additionally, he is on the international editorial board of the Slovak Journal of Political Science and is the author of monographs and scientific articles. His research background and skills are utilized within research and implementation of project activities.

Jozef Klavecklavec

Teaching Staff

Jozef Klavec studied at the Comenius University in Bratislava where he received PhD. and became an associate professor in Political Science. He is a researcher and very well known political analyst on the International Relations issues often participating in the media – public service broadcaster RTVS and also in private media. He is dealing with the topic of Terrorism and Migration, Sub-Saharan Africa, Ethnic Conflicts and Security Studies. He is an author of many monographs – Terrorism as the Political Phenomenon, Terrorism as Global Threat, International Relations; and scientific articles. His academic skills guarantee quality teaching and education of students.

 


Jakub Bardovič

Teaching Staff

Jakub Bardovič studied at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice where he received PhD. in political sciences. He is assistant professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Trnava. His research focus is dedicated to dilemmas of pluralist democracy, specifically the dimension of political and civic participation at various levels of governance, scientific methodology, specifically research of public opinion and political behavior and issue of electoral systems. He works as editor-in-chief of Slovak Journal of Political Science.

Viera Žuborová (Project Coordinator)

Viera Žúborová studied at the Palacky University in Olomouc where she received Ph.D. in Political Science. She is the Vice-dean for the Public Relations and Strategic Projects at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava  and the Head of the Department of Political Science and European Studies. She works as managing editor of Slovak Journal of Political Science. Her focus is Political Marketing, History of Political Thought and Migration Discourse and author of monographs and many scientific articles. She is organising the various educational and creative activities supporting critical thinking of the students and youth as the co-founder of the non-profit organisation. She is experienced in managing international projects and she will supervise individual activities, disseminated tasks and monitoring of the submitted project will be fulfilled and she is working as a coordinator and supervisor of the given goals and tasks in the project.

 

Marcel Vysocký (Teaching Staff)

Marcel Vysocký studied at the Trnava University in Trnava where he received PhD. in International Law. He is not only the Vice-rector of the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava for University Development and Social Issues, but also the director of the European Studies Centre. His focus is International Humanitarian Law, International Relations and European Legal System. He is an author of many scientific articles. He has organised dozens activities, workshops and seminars focused on the European Affairs. His position require work as teaching staff and is responsible for organising events for students in the Department of Political Science and European Studies. In these events are participating the representatives from the academic and scientific area.
